ReceiptBox: Receipt Tracker App Reviews

The basis of the app is great. It is simple, easy to use, and helpful, but it could use a few more basic features. You cannot copy and paste information, select which information to print, or create/delete fields. If simple copy/paste or export to excel options could be added, this app would be a 5 star app.

I should have known better than to buy an app with such a vague description, but I figured for $2 Id roll the dice. The "import/export" capabilities mentioned in the description are useless, as far as I can tell. The only file type Ive found that can be imported is .txt files, but I have never been able to get one to successfully import, getting "import general error", maybe the least helpful error code ever. The help menu has nothing about import/export, and very little about anything else. If you want to manually type in all of your receipts, this is a great app for you. I got exactly what I paid for, a nicely designed app icon and almost no real functionality.

iSight scan function renders receipts almost illegible. And the crop function does not exist as advertised and demonstrated. You can zoom but when you click ok it hasnt cropped it. Furthermore, its so pixelated anyhow.

I found this really awkward and cumbersome. It reminds me of a microsoft product, and I wish I hadn’t bought it.

This app is REALLY excellent for small business. You ignore most of the fields like VAT (if you do most of your business in the US), but I recommend saving your progress every 10 minutes or so. I’m still not sure which field is required…but apparently I didn’t enter a field for a receipt, and when I went to save my progress…the program just closed. I hadn’t saved anything prior, so I’m finding myself doing the hours of work twice. Other than that, it’s super efficient! Super organized! Great for potential audits and organization.

The app crashes every time I upload an image for the receipt. Useless to me without this function.

I downloaded this to keep records of previously scanned receipts. It turns out you cannot use PDF files for the receipt images. If you’ve got a lot of PDFs of your receipts, don’t waste your time!

Good application for receipt tracking. I really like how you can create your own categories for tracking purchases. However, there is no way to track different forms of payment used for the purchases. It would be great if in a future update, this feature was introduced and you could track purchases based on payment method.

For a simple home receipts keeper, it fits my bill very nicely. Would like, however, to be able to back up the receipts without having to go to Excel or Numbers as the case may be. If you are looking for a sophisticated app, this ain’t it! For me it’s just fine.

I am looking for software that scans my receipts and transfers the data automatically to the program and saves a digital copy of the receipt. This software will use your computer camera to take a photo (not very good), and save a copy but you have to manually enter all the info from the receipt. Argh. Also, there is no way to directly import from your scanner. This would definitely be an improvement. And the automation of that step at least may encourage me to use it.

A great way to maintain my/ your receipts and to keep track of what i/ your buying. Its amazing how it adds up. I do like this app, Simple ui and its effective. I like it and i warmly recommend this! Thank you.

A simple and easy to use app. Only thing it needs is the ability to take screen shots. Do any online shopping and you get email receipts. Being able to screen shot these reciepts would make the app better.
